Youth Empowerment Support YES! Program

Using the past and the present to create a better future!

                      Direct Support

Through personal experience and professional training in mental health, child welfare, probation and education services, a Youth Coordinator provides one on one, individually tailored support and education to youth and young adults between the ages of 12 and 26. Youth Coordinators help to accomplish goals by providing, but not limited to, the following:

  • Information and referrals for resources, supports and services as well as leadership and community/ system improvement opportunities;

  • Support with identifying and/or building stronger support systems for themselves;

  • Empowerment, education and support to navigate different systems and services they are receiving as well as to advocate appropriately for themselves;

  • Support with identifying their placement needs and/or find their own placement options.

Our program is focused on filling in the gaps when youth or young adults can not access other supports to meet their identified needs.  Our support is voluntary and is offered on an as needed basis.
